Proposals for Sessions at the 2024 Conference Due March 1

Join us for the 2024 Consumer Voice Conference at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco, California, September 23-26, 2024. Consumer Voice's Annual Conference educates and empowers long-term care consumers and consumer advocates.

We are seeking proposals for conference sessions that create an engaging, informative conference agenda that provides resources, tools, opportunities for discussion, and strategies our attendees can incorporate in their life and/or advocacy.

Two easy steps to submit a proposal:

  1. Review the Call for Proposals and Presenter Requirements.
  2. Submit your proposal via Survey Monkey. NOTE: You will not be able to save incomplete submissions in SurveyMonkey, so you may want to review and print or save the PDF version of the proposal questions so you can plan your responses prior to starting the submission.

Proposals are due by March 1, 2024.

The Administration for Community Living (ACL) is launching a new technical assistance webinar series, "OAA Back-to-Basics."  The series will address topics of interest to both people who are new to the aging network and those who are experienced in Older Americans Act (OAA) program management.  The first webinar in the series will be held Thursday, February 15th at 2:00pm ET. It will focus on stewardship, oversight, and advocacy responsibilities. Register now.

The Back-to-Basics series coincides with the implementation of the updated OAA regulations. Read more about the updated regulations.

Consumer Voice Leadership Council Chair Speaks to Democratic Women's Caucus

Consumer Voice Leadership Council Chair Sarah Slocum represented Consumer Voice at a Democratic Women's Caucus event in Washington, DC last week.  She spoke on a panel highlighting a variety of long-term care issues and how they intersect with women's issues. She spoke about quality long-term care, access, transparency, the long-term care workforce, private equity ownership of nursing homes, and home and community based services, among several other long-term care issues related to Consumer Voice's work.  The panel was attended by members of Congress and their staffers.
